PAKPAO KITE The female (tail kite) is quite small and fragile. It is highly manoeuverable and flown with along tail which it attempt to snare and tangle its male opponent. |

CHULA KITE The male (star-tale) fighting kite. Eight foot high and made from specially seasoned bamboo. It has three bamboo barbs attached to its line for snagging the pakpao the female kite. It is normally flown by a team of 10 men. |
